Only Online: Airbnb’s Zen Eating Class w/ Momo from Kyoto

What’s my number one tip for taking an Airbnb online experience? Upon entering the class that day, I recommend that you “rename” yourself with your first name ONLY. Otherwise, other people from all over the world who are in the class with you will know your full name. Be safe people!

Ok, now onto the class. Last month I began taking random Airbnb online experiences. I give myself a budget and search the Airbnb site based on experiences that are less than $5.00. To date, I have now taken (or registered for) sixteen classes on various topics that are on the cheaper side. During one of my searches, I stumbled upon this one hour class for $2.62 so I quickly registered. I ended up enjoying it very much and apply what I learned daily.

Momo lives in Kyoto, Japan, and is an excellent host. She reminded me of many things I take for granted while eating. We started with a gentle face massage to get our mouths “ready” for eating. In the one hour class, I took about 6 bites of food but amazingly I felt full! While chewing, she took us through multiple enlightening meditations and I left the class with a renewed appreciation for food. That night, I ate a random mix of leftovers in my refrig which consisted of Korean taegu, leftover roasted veggies, and green grapes.

Anyone can take this class and Momo is a very kind and patient host. If you have an hour to spare, consider Zen Eating!

Next week I will tell you about my number one Airbnb experience so far. Only online!
