Chazuke Garlic Rayu Tofu

One work-from-home lunch hour, when I was trying to eat healthily and needed to use a firm Oshiro tofu that I had in the fridge for a few days, I decided to make a dish that I learned from my friend Naomi. She makes a yummy tofu dish that she seasoned with a packet of ochazuke seasoning and some garlic rayu. This is such a simple dish to make and tastes good!

This is all you have to do. Just chop up a block of firm tofu and put it into a bowl. Sprinkle a packet of your favorite ochazuke seasoning on the tofu. Put 2-3 tablespoons of your favorite garlic chili oil and mix with a little bit of shoyu and some sesame oil. That’s it. I love onions so on this day, I added some sliced onions. I also had a jar of nametake mushrooms so I added that too. I like the crunch and flavor of bubu arare so I sprinkled some on the dish before serving. You’ll love the flavors and feel healthy too!
