I heard that WSW is now serving breakfast. So when my friend Ray visited from Oahu, we headed there for breakfast. I enjoyed the Classic Benedict — poached egg with ham, creamed spinach, Hollandaise sauce, on focaccia with greens and a lilikoi drizzle. It was delicious. There were a few other items I wanted to try so I will have to make a few more breakfast trips to try them all. Ray and I sat and chatted over breakfast for almost three hours! The servers were so kind and refilled our water and coffee generously. The view was awesome and we enjoyed watching people catching fish at the shoreline.
After breakfast, we walked around and visited the convenience store in front of the Hilo Hawaiian Hotel and the art gallery nearby. That was my first time visiting Banyan Gallery and it is a gem of a store that carries art from many local artists. You can choose from jewelry, clothing, accessories, cards, books, and so much more. You should stop by one day! Living Hilo Style.
