Naung Mai Thai for Hiromi’s Birthday

We belatedly celebrated Hiromi’s birthday at Naung Mai Thai behind Garden Exchange recently. Naung Mai Thai is a small business that believes in supporting local farmers and tries to use the best seasonally available and locally sourced organic vegetables. I used Google Assistant to help me make a lunch reservation for me and it was very easy and I got a text alert when the reservation was confirmed. When I got there, my reservation was in place. So easy! Have you used Google Assistant before?

We ordered Thai Summer Rolls with lots of fresh veggies, Silver Noodle Salad (I think I’ll stick to the larb next time), Basil Eggplant Stir Fry, and Tom Yum. It was a nice time together and chatting about the plans that Hiromi has to make homemade miso for Hilo!

FYI: Before lunch, I stopped at Garden Exchange to see what plants they had in stock. I found a pretty orchid plant for Hiromi to take home. Plus, I was able to gift her a crown-flower lei I made with flowers from my tree! Living Hilo Style.
