Shelter-In-Place Ikura Pasta

My friend makes an amazing uni/ikura pasta that I’ve been thinking about and decided to try and make. I have watched her make it and decided to try and make it with some modifications since I didn’t have a tray of uni or the special seasoning that she uses on hand. Despite the modifications, it came out great and my family loved it.

It is super easy! Just boil some pasta in salted water until just before fully cooked.

In a pan, heat around 4 T of butter and about 3/4 cup of half and half. Add pasta to the creamy sauce and season with salt and pepper. Sprinkle with some grated parmesan and toss. Put a serving of the pasta on each plate and spoon as much ikura as you want on the top of it.

I scattered some shiso chiffonade on top.

If you want to be super fancy like Naomi, you can sprinkle gold flakes on it and use a pretty plate. Living Hilo Style.
