Relay for Life and Get Moving for Health

The Super Stars 4-H club worked with Megan Ann Souza, a 4-H alumnus and a University of Hawaii at Hilo student to support her Get Moving for Health (GM4H) Team at a recent American Cancer Society Relay for Life event held on the university campus. As Miss Paradise Kauai, Megan is using the GM4H project as her platform for the Miss Hawai`i 2016 Scholarship Pageant. The Super Stars had lots of fun practicing being princesses with Megan.During the event, some of us got our wishes granted by a fairy godmother.By working with Megan, the Super Stars 4-Hers got a feel for serving in leadership roles, practicing their communication skills, and working together as a team. Plus they had a lot of fun while doing it. There were food booths offering pizza, pork adobo, teriyaki burgers, and of course, all kinds of desserts.  The live entertainment included dancing, singing, and lots of games.  The UHH students coordinated this event all for a great cause supporting the American Cancer Society.  Awesome job Vulcans! Living Hilo Style.
