Have you already visited WikiFRESH? What were your favorite items? (Read about my previous visit to WikiFRESH.)img_0980WikiFRESH is having an Autumn Sunday Funday promo going on right now. Every Sunday from 10:30 a.m. until 7 p.m., you can get $2 street tacos, $1 off draft beers, $5 Wiki Ritas, and $7 WikiWine Ritas!

If you can’t make it on Sunday, you can get those same deals on Monday-Friday from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m.

WikiFRESH is also partnering with some local farmers and is looking forward to bringing in some more local ingredients like sweet potatoes and heart of palm into their lineup.

I recently visited and tasted their refreshing margarita paired with a street taco. What a yummy and fun meal to have with friends or your family. I met the manager, Ian, there who mentioned the deals going on.  If you are a connected with UHH, HawCC, or high schools here on the island, you should ask about their 10 percent off special for students as well as faculty and staff.img_1004I found out that the restaurant has a private room that you can rent for parties such as birthdays and showers. In fact, I saw photos of a rockin’ disco on the feed of one of my friends recently.img_1006The food at WikiFRESH is healthy and fresh. The restaurant has no freezers or microwaves and tries to support local farmers as much as possible. In fact, WikiFRESH has a goal of having 80 percent of the produce they use sourced from the state and an amazing 40 percent of the produce sourced entirely from the Big Island.

According to Ian, the secret ingredient that people might be afraid to try but tastes great is quinoa. It is an amazing superfood with nine essential amino acids to keep us strong and healthy.

We hope to see some cooking demos and contests coming up soon at WikiFRESH. Mention your ideas to any of the WikiFRESH staff and you might see it happen in our town!img_0996Follow the Living Hilo Style Instagram and Facebook pages for some ways to win some WikiFRESH coupons. Living Hilo Style.
