I have a few former students with whom I keep in touch with.  Recently, I had dinner with Anna and Celise who were my students at Hilo High School a “few” years ago.

When these two (now) ladies visit Hilo from Oregon and California, we enjoy getting together at Seaside Restaurant in Hilo.We were able to synchronize our schedules for one evening this year! We get together, eat great food, chat, and catch up on each others’ lives.The poke nachos was a great starter.We always get the fried calamari.

We all ordered the Chinese-style opakapaka and loved it!  We had no room for dessert this time. But we loved our time together.  I can’t wait until our next Seaside Restaurant visit with these two former students who have grown up to be awesome adults! Our schedules don’t match up this holiday season but maybe we can find time in 2018 to catch up. Living Hilo Style.
