Hilo to Las Vegas

We went to Vegas this past summer.  Unlike some of our other Vegas trips during which we get to relax with sleeping in and watching movies, this trip was action packed!  Here is the speedy version of our whirlwind trip. IMG_8390After we arrived in Vegas in the afternoon, we got ready and headed to Bellagio where we had dinner together with friends at Michael Mina’s restaurant.IMG_8936We ended the evening by celebrating with some bubbly. #fooya #ThisIsHowWeVegas

The next day started off with shopping at Fashion Show Mall and ended with seeing the Magic Mike Show at the Hard Rock Hotel, enjoying a late dinner at Nobu, and having a nightcap at the Taco Bell Cantina.  FYI:  This wasn’t just any Taco Bell… It’s a Taco Bell Cantina restaurant that features a new, modernized design and unique artwork. In true Las Vegas fashion, the restaurant also had a DJ booth and served beer and (alcoholic) Twisted Freezes.

The next day was filled with a little more shopping, some rides at the Stratosphere, dinner at Julian Serrano at the Aria, and a visit to the Moet and Chandon champagne vending machine at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel.

The next day, the energized folks raced in their go-karts at Pole Position Raceway before coming back to the hotel to get ready for the reason we all came to Vegas.  Bruno Mars!  Jabbowockeez opened the concert with awesome energy and Bruno brought it home for all of us on his opening night of his 24K Magic World Tour.

We ended the trip with a visit to Lockdown escape room where the adults had the most fun as they succeeded in escaping from their room and getting out quickly enough to have time to visit Trader Joe’s before getting some Korean BBQ and then heading to the hotel to make final deposits and finish packing before heading back to the airport.  Living Hilo Style in Vegas!
