Aloha, Food, Shopping, Track, Gardening, Love

It was a great few days here in Hilo. The Merrie Monarch Festival brings many good things to Hilo. Lovers of hula visit Hilo.

People are adorned in colorful aloha attire and lei. Craft fairs abound. Smiles are everywhere.

We welcomed visitors from Ikaho, Japan, who host the winners of the Merrie Monarch Festival at their hula festival.

We enjoyed Hawaiian food from the pop-up that is parked near Carpet Isle/HPM every year.

We visited craft fairs and a pottery sale one morning.

Found some veggies to harvest in my garden.

And I enjoyed cheering on my son as he earned a first-place medal in the 3000 meter race at his senior year BIIF track championship meet. Awesome weekend. Living Hilo Style.
