One of the ingredients I’ve experimented with in my Instant Vortex Plus air fryer is firm tofu. I bought a block of Oshiro brand firm tofu and cut the tofu into cubes. After letting the liquid drain out for a little while (and kind of pressing it to help it along), I toss it with sesame oil and shoyu for about 15 minutes.
Next, I laid out the seasoned tofu on two trays and put it in the air fryer for about 10 minutes at 400 degrees. About halfway through the cooking process, when the oven beeped, I switched the trays so that both trays get equally crispy from the top level.
My daughter and I love this dish and feel like it is a healthy addition to our menu. You can use whatever kind of spices you like since tofu takes on all kinds of flavors easily. Try it. Living Hilo Style.
