My pal Wane has the greenest thumb ever. He grows all kinds of fruits and veggies and so generously shares them with me. Today, he shared a bounty of freshly harvested green beans! I love green beans and at first thought I’d fry some up with spam or smoked sausage. But then I remembered seeing a recipe for dried fried green beans and looked that up. I found a recipe called Chinese Air Fryer Green Beans on FitHappyFoodie.com that sounded easy enough for me.
I washed and trimmed the ends of the beans and broke them into about 2-inch pieces. I seasoned the beans with sliced garlic, 1/2 T sesame oil, 1 T shoyu, a sprinkle of chili pepper flakes, and 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder.

I spread the beans on trays and popped it into my Instant Vortex air fryer at 400 degrees for about 8 minutes and it was ready to serve! Mahalo Wane! Living Hilo Style.
