Las Vegas Strip, Pete Rose, and No Wicked Spoon

We visited New York, New York, Excalibur, Luxor, and Mandalay Bay today. According to the health app on my iPhone, we walked around 8 miles today. That’s been about the daily average for this trip. The Disneyland days were significantly higher. Thank goodness for comfortable shoes.

As we walked through the shops at Mandalay Place, we entered a memorabilia shop called the Art of Music and found Pete Rose signing autographs and taking photos with customers! My husband was very excited to see him in person and be able to take a photo with him.  It was so cool to have him flash a shaka with us. Next, my son and husband went to the Shark Reef and Sea Monsters exhibits at Mandalay Bay while my daughter and I cruised Mandalay Place.

We made the obligatory stop at LUSH, where my daughter finds expensive ways to get clean and smell good.

We had plans to eat at Wicked Spoon, the buffet at Cosmopolitan, but by the time we got there, the line waiting for a table was an hour long and we would not have made it in before they started taking the food away. Shucks.

We ended up at Holstein and Shakes and had burgers. The Holstein Special Lager was light and refreshing and went well with my bulgogi quesadilla and seared ahi sliders. Having dinner with my brother and his family was awesome~especially for my kids.

We ended our time on the strip with a lunch visit the next day to Ginseng BBQ for some AYCE Korean bbq. This restaurant on the strip fulfilled my craving for Korean food while at the same time making my meat and rice eating son happy. Next stop~Orleans Hotel and Casino for a NYE celebration with friends.
