I got a beautiful O.K. Farms starfruit in my farm box from Hawaii Eco. I wanted to do something different with it and decided to make a cocktail! I found a recipe on CravingsJournal.com for a starfruit gin cocktail that sounded like something I could make into my own.

It was super easy and the aromatic starfruit flavors balanced nicely with the rest of the ingredients. I blended the starfruit in a food processor and then poured the crushed starfruit juice through a sieve into a cup. That was the hard part. The rest was easy. Add 1 part gin and 4 parts yuzu soda to the starfruit juice and mix. Pour the mixture over ice and enjoy! Living Hilo Style.
