Leaving on a jet plane. Don’t know when I’ll be back again…
Actually, unfortunately, I do know exactly when I’ll be back, but I won’t think about that right now. I’m looking forward to this break from the normal routine of work and chores. More importantly, I find that spending time together as a family away from the distractions of school, work, and other activities is really pleasant and healthy for our family. Part of this trip includes a road trip and will end with time with friends so it should be a nice mixture of activities.
Preparing for a trip is always a mad rush of errands. The morning of this trip was no different. I took my son to the orthodontist then the dentist and then the physical therapist. Then my husband needed to stop at Sports Authority for socks. We went to Zippy’s for breakfast, dropped off bills that needed to be paid, visited the rubbish dump, stopped at the courthouse to drop off some documents, went to the bank to get some money, and then finally off to the airport before noon. I’m going to need a vacation from this vacation!
We made it to the airport on time and are ready to begin our 2015 holiday vacation. I cherish these family moments.
Once on Oahu, we headed straight to the hotel to get ready for a party. The party food was catered by Sushi Ginza Onodera. Wagyu and sushi? Yes, please! We enjoyed music in the style of Makaha Sons of Niihau. Hanging out with friends made this evening even more special and memorable. What a great way to kick off our holiday vacation.
