Here’s a crazy idea: what if you renewed your love for staying home? It’s such a luxury to relax and not have anything planned. For so long I’ve been “surviving” more than “thriving.” Working 40 hour weeks, kids, groceries, meals, yada, yada, yada….it’s endless. It finally took its toll a few months ago when my health started declining. Of course, I ignored the signs. My life was actually very misaligned. I am now trying my best to live with more intention.
My renewed love for staying home also has me examining my surroundings. I recently read about a 60-minute declutter burst. This was a “Goldilocks” type of activity to me. You know not too hard, not too easy, but just right! Wow…it was AWESOME and felt so good! I started with 23 items from my closet and the remaining 77 items came from all over the house. It was actually, FUN!! I have a feeling that if you try this burst you just might enjoy it too! Who wouldn’t want to get rid of 100 things that’s just adding clutter?! It’s not the whole day, just an hour. Quick, do it now before you change your mind!
The 80th anniversary of The Wizard of Oz (1939) is this month. Dorothy was right all along “there’s no place like home.”
Here’s to more time at home and to what’s…only necessary!
