During a recent trip to Hokkaido with some friends, I bought and tried the following products:

Uma (Horse Oil) Cream (¥3000) – I had never heard of this before and it can be found in many Hokkaido drugstores. This product was actually for my MIL but I tried it and wish I bought some for myself! I bought the version that says “Q10” which is a coenzyme. It goes on with a petroleum jelly texture and leaves my skin soft and supple after about an hour.

Anessa Perfect BB Base Beauty Booster Makeup with SPF 50+ (¥1800) – if you google this BB cream you’ll know that it’s made by Shiseido. I watched my friends buy this off the shelves like it was Black Friday! I was intrigued and bought it mostly out of curiosity. I wasn’t sure I’d like it as it’s tinted/colored and thought it might be too light for my complexion. It’s actually a little light, but I like it. The Anessa brand is allllll over the place and their cover girl is superstar tennis player Naomi Osaka.

Senka Perfect Whip Collagen-In (¥567) – a quick google search will reveal that this product is also made by Shiseido but sold at a drugstore price point. It was the cheapest thing I bought and I really like it! This cleanser comes in a white bottle too but the pink version has collagen to help combat my wrinkles!
