Only Cheap, Just Buy ‘Um: Trader Joe’s Skincare (Part 1)

By Misty I.

Can someone puhhhhlease bring Trader Joe’s to Hilo, Hawaii! I’m not an expert at market analysis, but I’m an expert shopper and I think Trader Joe’s would do extremely well here! I go nuts whenever I enter a Trader Joe’s and my friends love TJ’s with equal fervor. Don’t even get me started about the alarming amount of mental framework I’ve built around staying somewhere on the mainland with a kitchenette and finally getting to try their frozen foods. Yes, weird. Cauliflower gnocchi and mochi ice cream, anyone?!

I heart TJ’s so much that I’ve also begun dabbling in their skincare. I was intrigued by all of the rave reviews online. I also read that some high-makamaka dermatologists developed the Trader Joe’s Nourish line. High-makamaka caliber skincare at a low-makamaka price point? Sign me up, yo! I’m not a dermatologist or anything so please investigate the products on your own before trying. #becauseyoureworthit

These are a few of my favs I’ve been using for the last three months:

#3: Trader Joe’s Nourish Hyaluronic Moisture Boost Serum: this stuff feels like silk when I put it on my face. Hyaluronic acid is supposed to preserve moisture in your skin and helps with firmness and suppleness. The pros are saying this TJ’s product is top notch skincare at a reasonable price.

#2: Trader Joe’s Nourish Antioxidant Facial Serum: I feel like it’s softened my skins texture and also evened out my skin tone over the last three months. Some people use it as a makeup primer, but that’s too fussy for me. This product is all over social media, go investigate if you want to know more.

#1: Trader Joe’s Enrich Moisturizing Lotion: I like this product a lot. I use it every morning as a moisturizer and it also has SPF 15 sunscreen too. It’s not greasy and goes on smoothly before I put my makeup on. It reminds me of Oil of Olay, maybe it’s the shape of the bottle.

If you are going to a Trader Joe’s soon, can I be your friend? I’m running out of these gems.

Next week, I’ll share some other Trader Joe’s skincare products to take with you when you travel! Only cheap…just buy ‘um!
