I recently had some turnips from another wonderful Hawaii Eco box. This recipe couldn’t be easier and I’m hoping you will enjoy it. I’m trying to think of new ways to use the miso/butter combo because it’s easy and delicious.

Miso Butter Turnips (adapted from bonappetit.com)
Ingredients:
- 2 turnips, scrubbed clean
- 2 T. white miso
- 2 T. butter, salted
- 1 tsp. sugar
The Order of Operations:
- Cut the turnips into ¼-⅓” slices.
- Place turnips, butter, miso, sugar and barely enough water to cover the turnips in a medium skillet and bring to a slight boil.
- Cook uncovered for 15 minutes until all if the liquid has evaporated and the turnips are a little charred, sticky and crusty. Add salt and pepper to taste.
That’s it, only easy!
