Only Easy: Christmas Pretzels

Making Christmas goodies can be easy. With boys, it’s better to make stuff that doesn’t require fussy procedures or lengthy afternoons. How do you get them to help you? Do easy stuff that they want to eat! My nephew was over this weekend and we decided to make these salty-sweet treats to take to our family dinner. We made 12 pretzels in 12 minutes, but the memories will last much longer than that.

Chocolate Dipped Pretzels

Ingredients:

2 blocks from a package of almond bark chocolate coating (or white)
1 pkg. pretzel rods
Christmas sprinkles

Method:

  1. Melt the coating in a microwave according to the instructions on the back of the packaging. Usually about 30-second intervals, three times. The boys used a mug because it was the slimmest vessel we could find.
  2. Quickly dip each pretzel rod into the melted coating ensuring you’ve coated about ⅔ of the pretzel rod.
  3. Place dipped pretzels on a parchment-lined sheet pan and immediately top with sprinkles before the coating sets.

That’s it, only easy!
